Legislative Assembly
Along with the local Representative Council, the Legislative Assembly gives individual union members a voice. It is the main policy- and decision-making body of the statewide union; it selects the statewide union president.
Each university has a delegation proportionate to the size of its APSCUF membership, and the delegates are elected in staggered terms every two years. Runners-up in the elections then become alternates. There are three Legislative Assembly meetings a year, usually in places such as Monroeville, Grantville, and Altoona, and last two and a half days. In negotiations years (when a new CBA is under negotiation), there are four assemblies.
