Sabbatical

Sabbaticals are short periods when faculty have an opportunity to conduct research, study, revise courses, take courses and improve their teaching and scholarship. Sabbaticals are competitive, and faculty considering a sabbatical are advised to understand the application process long before their prospective date of leave.

Sabbatical applications for 2013 are due March 25, 2013 at 4:00pm. faculty would be applying this spring for a sabbatical in the fall, 2014 (at the earliest).

Faculty who are interested in applying for a sabbatical should plan to attend a university-wide meeting on Wednesday, February 6 at 4:00.  The location will be G-41 Stephenson, where the guidelines for the 2013 year will be distributed and questions addressed by the members of the University-Wide Sabbatical Leave Committee.
