Sabbatical

Sabbaticals are short periods when faculty have an opportunity to conduct research, study, revise courses, take courses and improve their teaching and scholarship. Sabbaticals are competitive, and faculty considering a sabbatical are advised to understand the application process long before their prospective date of leave.

Sabbatical applications for the 2010-2011 academic year are due March 18, 2009.

Faculty who are interested in applying for a sabbatical should plan to attend a university-wide meeting on Wednesday, February 4th, 2009 at 6:30 PM, where the guidelines for the 2010-2011 academic year will be distributed and questions addressed by the members of the University-Wide Sabbatical Leave Committee.
